Who I Am and Why I Created Audialyze
How Audialyze was born — my journey through code, creativity, and sound.
Hi there,
I'm Alex — musician, audio developer, and co-founder of Hertz Instruments, the company behind Hertz Drums. If you've ever used it, you've already experienced something I personally created.
Today marks the beginning of a new chapter: Audialyze — an Smart audio mastering and analysis tool built for artists like me (and maybe like you). But before we dive into what it does, I want to share why I created it.
A DIY Mindset That Never Left
Since childhood, music has been more than just a passion — it's been a way of life. I grew up immersed in the underground DIY scene: black-and-white zines, self-produced records, and community-driven art. That culture shaped who I am.
If I wanted to play music — I wouldn't settle for just one instrument. I'd learn all of them.
If I wanted to release a track — I'd record and mix it myself.
The First Real Challenge: Drums
As a young musician, the biggest obstacle was always drums. Where to find a kit? Where to record? How to make it sound right?
That's what led to the creation of Hertz Drums — a tool made not just for others, but for myself. I needed it. I used it. It worked. And as it turned out, many others felt the same.
And Then Came Mastering
Let's look at the typical home-recording musician's process:
Write → Record → Mix → (Rush) Master → Release.
Most indie artists handle everything on their own. But when it comes to mastering, I always hear the same thing:
"Let's just get it over with."
Nobody talks about mastering as a creative process. It's often treated like a technical chore. People grab a few plugin presets from the internet and hope for the best. There's little understanding, no feedback, and no real support — unless you hire a professional.
And that's exactly where Audialyze comes in.
Why Audialyze? Why Now?
Just like with Hertz Drums, I built Audialyze for myself. I needed a tool that could act as a creative companion, not just an automation shortcut. It's an artist-driven tool.
Right now, you can use presets I've personally crafted. Very soon, you'll have even more control — from customizable mastering styles to fully personal workflows. The goal is simple:
Give you a powerful tool that adapts to your sound, your vision — and makes it easy.
Built by Artists, for Artists
Audialyze is currently in beta. I launched it just a few days ago. Many advanced features are still hidden — but they're coming.
But even now, if you:
- Have a mix you're unsure about — Audialyze can guide you
- Have a release deadline and no time — Audialyze can master it fast
- Want to learn what makes a good mix — Audialyze explains it clearly
Then it's already here to help.
Let's Build This Together
I invite you to join me on this journey.
Ask questions. Share feedback. Use the platform. Break it if you need to. Let's create something powerful for musicians who care deeply about sound — without losing the soul in the process.
Audialyze isn't just a tool. It's a philosophy.
Welcome.
— Alex
